It was a sad day when we lost Keith. This handsome and fit charmer was one of the few contemporaries living with a single mom. In his case, he became very independent early and embodied a mature style. He was "cool" and confident. Everyone at Kinloch really liked and admired Keith. At Miami High, he was not a "joiner", but he was always friendly and supportive. I guessed that he had an after-school job. Keith matured into a real man right before our eyes. I'd say that he never changed after he was 15 and started shaving. He was on his way with confidence and sensitivity! Keith Strickland - the genuine article - was always open, freindly, and supportive.
I actually went to Auburdale With Keith. He kissed me on the playground in fifth or sixth grade. We also went to dance class together along with Carl Fanero.
Since Judy and I were good friends our senior year, I doubledated with Keith and Judy frequently. We always had a great time as it was so enjoyable being with Keith.

Keith and I were in the 9th grade together at Kinloch Park Jr High. We kidded around quite a bit....he was such a good guy, and I think of him often.
Judy Kish (Hargrove)
Keith and I went together most of our senior year. He truly was a great guy
