Reported by Connie King Babcock
Just found this out about Larry after I was told today a mutual friend, Vandye Forrester, had passed away a few days ago.
I don’t know any more than what his obituary said because we have not kept in touch.
I moved to the Key in the summer of 1957 and Larry promised to teach me tennis at the Key Biscayne Hotel. He would bring his medical books on the bus and show us all gory pictures. He asked me to wear his ring around my neck and I did for about a month. Then fickleness set in and it was over for me. To my surprise a young handsome Vandye pledged his love for me and I was to find out how great it was to be head over heels for a young 14 year old. Vandye ran against Larry for Class President at ADA Merritt and beat him. So Larry lost the girl and the election. He was not pleased. We dated again briefly in 12 th grade but there was no going back.
I was sad to learn that both Larry and Vandye passed away. I have fond memories of both of these “young” men.

Sally Darlow (Throckmorton)
I was so sorry to hear about Larry. I remember him fondly from MHS. He was one of those guys that was considered a "hunk". May he rest in peace.
