OBIT Published in Miami Herald on Jun. 16, 2013.
CARLTON, AUDREY DAVIS, We are saddened to announce the loss of Audrey Carlton, 71, who passed away on Sunday, June 9th. Audrey was born in Columbia, South Carolina on May 25, 1942, and succumbed to her battle with respiratory disease with her wonderful caregiver and devoted son Christopher at her side, holding her hand, at the residence of her caring friend and former husband, Clifford "Bucky" Carlton. Audrey graduated from Miami High in 1960 and was a registered nurse for 35 years. She worked along side Dr. Ralph Millard, chief of plastic surgery at the time, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and for other hospitals throughout Florida and Georgia. Audrey was predeceased by her beloved son Scott Carlton and her mother Naomi Martin. Survived by her devoted and loving son, Christopher Carlton, her brother, David Martin and wife, Nina, her sister Donna Davis, Audrey requested no services. Her wish is for friends to think kindly of those you love, do an act of kindness for someone in need, and to have a glass of good wine with cheese and fine pastries. Audrey's happy disposition and smile, her kindness and friendship will be remembered by many. Rest in peace, Audrey; your suffering is finished.
