John was always a gentle giant.
With a smile and a readily available self-deprecating style, he accepted every step in life with exuberance, charm, and grace.
We grew up with John - he was a Stingaree State Championship Football player and respected teammate of dedication and resolve.
A wonderful and caring friend, John always supported others and provided support when needed - without being asked.
In a classic story-book happenstance, John found a perfect life partner when a spark was lit with classmate Mary Anne at one of our memorable Class of '60 Stingaree Reunions.  Both John and Mary Anne proved to blend perfectly - to the celebrated joy of all their many mutual friends!
What a rewarding and loving life they shared near Nashville with a supportive group and friends and family!
John's passing is a great loss for hundreds of classmates who shared live-forming experiences that structured our collective lives.  Memories of John will live forever as a blessing as we each reflect on the charm, elegance, and compassion that John exuded throughout his remarkable and influential life.  John helped to shape each of us.
Our deepest condolences extend to Mary Anne and to their extended family,  grandchildren, and great grandchildren...

Earl Sedlik
President,

Class of '60

...and a greatful friend.
